Vintage San Ildefonso black clay pottery dish. It is signed Donicia Tafoya, she & other members of her family are well known for their pottery. They are from the Tewa Tribe. It could be considered a plate or a bowl because of the raised lip. sure it It is signed by hand "Donicia Tafoya San Ildefonso" is underneath her name. I tried to get a photo of the signature on the back, but, it does not show up on the photo. It's to dark. It's 7 1/2 " across the center & 1 1/4 " deep.
