Vintage Rival Corning Ware Forever Yours Crock Pot or Slow Cooker with a 3 Quart Covered Casserole Glass Cookware. This pattern was made by Corning Ware in 1988, This pattern is a delightful pattern of hearts and flowers on a cream colored background, it is made of pyroceram. Pyroceram was invented in the late 1950's and is a special mixture of glass and crystalline ceramic that Corning Ware holds the patent on, it is made to withstand both heat and cold. Several years ago Corning Ware was purchased by a Chinese company, although they have offices in the USA, the few pieces of the Blue Cornflower pattern they make is now made in China and is not made of pyroceram like the earlier pieces, newer pieces are marked Made in China and are made of a ceramic material. This slow cooker or crock pot is a hard to find piece, the metal cooker holds a 3 quart/liter Corning Ware Casserole. The casserole is 8 1/2" across and 4" deep, the metal cooker is 9" across and 6" tall. The casserole is in excellent condition, appears to have never been used, the metal cooker also appears to not have been used but there is some loss of the enamel on the pattern portion of the metal housing as shown in the pictures.
