PATER LIEVEN
The Van den Bossche brewery was founded by Arthur Van den Bossche in 1897 when he purchased a farm in Sint-Lievens-Esse, Belgium, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes, and built a brewery, which is still active today. The best-known beer is the Abbey Style beer, Pater Lieven, produced in 4 varieties: Blond, Bruin, Tripel and Wit. Pater Lieven was named after the patron saint of the parish, Saint Livinus, and brewed according to the traditional manner of Abbey beers.
