This is a marble top wall or sofa table. It is black and gold gilt and in the Neoclassical style. The marble top is in very good condition with only a couple of very small chips. I believe it would shine with a simple polish. It is black with shades of gold, brown and gray striations. The table skirt has gold scrolls and outline as well as c scroll cut outs. The 4 legs are very ornate with fluting, a leaf design and lots of turns. Every detail is highlighted in gold gilt on this beautiful table. The front stretcher is arched and the back stretcher is straight. This table is in excellent over all condition however it is vintage, it will not be perfect. I do not know the maker or exact date this table was made. Table measurements without the marble are 31 3/8 inches tall, 43 ½ inches side to side and 20 ¼ inches front to back. It weights 24 pounds. Marble measurements are 1 ¾ inches tall, 44 1/8 inches side to side and 20 13/16 inches front to back. The marble weighs 96 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
