Vintage Luster Ware Pottery Pitcher,
Copper with Raised Nature Scene
Luster wear was designed to glow in candlelight and allow the light to move as the candle burned, decorated Luster ware became popular in the 19th century gaslights accented the reflective brilliance creating lovely centerpieces; cobalt blue was added to enhance the pieces during the day.
This charming piece has a copper base with a raised nature scene that adds much character. It is unsigned appears to be from the Victorian Era and English.
Condition: Very Good, for the age of the piece. Free of any chips, cracks or repair, some wear on the trim..
