Vintage Katherine Beecher Butter Mints Tin / Vintage Tatting-Crochet Thread

Vintage Katherine Beecher Butter Mints one pound tin, filled with 36 vintage spools of tatting-crochet thread in a variety of colors, sizes, manufacturers, and amounts. There are 14 full or almost full spools of Coat's & Clark's thread, 125 yards each, size 70, in reds, rust, greens, blues, lavender, pink, golds, browns, blacks, and multi-pastel colors. There are 22 smaller spools, in varying sizes and colors, from J & P Coats, Star, and Lily, along with a clear, plastic J & P Coats "TAT-IT" thread holder. The age of the thread is unknown, but much of it was purchased when you could buy 125 yards of tatting-crochet thread for 19 cents. The tin, measuring about 6.5 inches in diameter and 2.25 inches high, is in subtle shades of gold and green. It has one slightly dented side, and some surface wear and aging.
