This is the teacup in the Harlequin line made by the Homer Laughlin China Company from 1936 through 1964. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good glaze and turquoise color. There are glaze runs on the interior and it is a little uneven on the exterior. Harlequin was made exclusively for the F. W. Woolworth Company and was a thinner, less expensive version of the Fiesta line being made by Laughlin at the same time. It utilized most of the same colors as the Fiesta line with some others added or changed slightly. The teacup was part of the line from the beginning and continued to be made throughout while the turquoise color was added around 1937 and then continued to be made throughout. This teacup is 2 3/4" high, 4 3/4" across including the handle and 3 1/2" in diameter at the top.
