Hofbauer Crystal Company of West Germany produced collectible lead crystal in the from the mid to late 1900s. Hofbauer Byrdes or Bird Pattern Crystal is noted for its traditional bird design cut into the glass. Sometimes a three-dimensional bird finial will top the design of a candy dish or compote. There are several varieties of this crystal that are color-enhanced, with a blue, gold and ruby flash like finish and are harder to find then the crystal pieces, it has an estimated age of 1960 to 1980.

This toothpick holder is a very hard to find piece, it has the ruby red flash coloring on both sides of the piece, is 2 3/4" tall, in excellent condition, no chips.
