This is the 14" chop plate in the Franciscan Apple pattern made by Gladding McBean & Company from 1940 through 1984. It is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs and the artwork and paint of the Apple design are good. There is a very small chip on the underside edge (see photos) and some light, minor scratches from use and stacking. The Franciscan mark on the bottom of this chop plate was used from 1947 through 1949 (see photos) and it is 13 7/8" in diameter.
