Vintage Fitz and Floyd "The Darned String Caddy"

Unavailable
I love the vintage Fitz and Floyd and find many of them very whimsical. This string holder "The Darned String Caddy" is designed to look like a tan or cream fabric sack with brown string stitching on the side and top. A small man sits on top near a threaded needle. He has a hole by one hand where the string will come through. It also has a larger opening on the top that could be for a larger twine or the tips of small scissors would fit through as you often see with string holders. The paper Hand Painted label is also on the top. On the bottom is a FF Japan paper label and the incised name of the piece, ©FF, and the date MCMLXXV which is 1975. The condition is good but it does have several flea bites in various places and some glaze skips, but does not have any real damage. The piece displays very well and is great for a string holder collector or anyone who appreciates vintage FF. The string shown is not included because I took it out of one of my string holders to show you how it would look, but would give you a small piece if you like the look.
