This is the sugar and lid in the Fiesta line made by the Homer Laughlin China Company from 1936 through 1969. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks and it has good chartreuse color and glaze. The finial had been broken off and glued back in place (see photos). The sugar and lid was part of the line from the beginning and continued to be made throughout while the chartreuse color was added to the line in 1951 and discontinued in 1959. This sugar with lid has the vintage impressed H.L.C. fiesta Made In U.S.A. mark on the bottom (see photos) and is 5" high, 3 3/4" in diameter at the opening, 5 3/8" across including the handles and 2 3/8" in diameter at the foot. This is guaranteed to be an older fifties colors piece of Fiesta and not one of the contemporary re-issues.
