Vintage Fenton Hobnail Milk Glass Basket. Fenton Glass was established in 1905 by Frank and John Fenton in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, the earliest pieces were hand painted on blanks from other glass companies. Unable to get the quantity of glass they needed, they decided to make their own glass and 1907 the opened there own glass factory in Williamstown, West Virginia.
The Hobnail line is one of the largest and most successful patterns ever produced, it was produced from 1948 to 1989. This basket has an applied shell handle, it is about 6 1/2" long and about 5" across by 4" tall and is in excellent condition. It is an earlier unmarked piece, made before 1963 as Fenton did not mark pieces until after 1963. Please see our other listings for additional pieces in this pattern. Shipping is less for combined purchases then the above quoted individual cost per item combined and will be adjusted after your order is placed.
