Featured for your enjoyment is a wonderful piece of hand work. It is made on a cotton cloth which is sort of separated by a crinkle area and a flat area. It is done in shades of orange, brown and green. It is flowers flowing from a wall pocket and encircled in a cartouche. The pillow area has a pair of flowers with a smaller cartouche area. I did notice one light mark which looks like it was from the trunk it was stored in. I have not washed it as it has never been used and I do believe it will come right out. You can see it on the picture of the center pattern. This old bed cover was made by a lady who had planned on making a hope chest for each grandchild. On her passing her daughter took possession of her home and left everything in the trunks she had so painstakingly collected. Only after this daughters death where these discovered. It has never seen the light of day until about a week ago. Fits a double bed perfectly but could also be used on a queen. Measures 94 by 84. It is trimmed in blue fabric and made of a cotton.
