Vintage CorningWare Spice of Life 1 and 2 Liter Casserole Glass Cookware Set. Go Green with Corning Ware, you can bake, serve and store leftovers all in one dish, then reheat leftovers in the same dish! This pattern was made by Corning Ware from 1972 to the 1987 it features a harvest or fall colored pattern of various vegetables and is made of pyroceram. Pyroceram was invented in the late 1950's and is a special mixture of glass and crystalline ceramic that Corning Ware holds the patent on, it is made to withstand both heat and cold. Several years ago Corning Ware was purchased by a Chinese company, although they have offices in the USA this line is now made in China and is not made of pyroceram like the earlier pieces, newer pieces are marked Made in China and are made of a ceramic material. The 1 liter size is 7" across and 8 3/4" including the handles and 2" deep, the 2 liter is 8 1/2" across by 10 1/4" including the handles and 2 1/2" deep. All the pieces in this set are in excellent gently used condition, no chips, clean and ready to use. Please see our other listings for additional pieces in this pattern!
