Vintage Corning Ware Pyroceram Cornflower Blue Petite 12 Ounce Casserole. Go Green with Corning Ware, you can bake, serve and store leftovers all in one dish, then reheat leftovers in the same dish! This line was made for several years and is made of pyroceram. Pyroceram was invented in the late 1950's and is made to withstand both heat and cold. Several years ago Corning Ware was purchased by a Chinese company, although they have offices in the USA this line is now made in China and is not made of pyroceram like the earlier pieces, newer pieces are marked Made in China and are made of a ceramic material. This pattern was made from 1957 to 1988 and this size of casserole is one of the hardest pieces to find. It is made of the original Corning pyroceram, is 5 1/4" by 5 1/4" and 1 3/4" deep, holds 12 ounces. It is in lovely gently used clean condition, no chips and would be a fabulous addition to your set!
