Vintage Corning Ware Blue Cornflower 2 Qt Pyroceram Cookware Teapot with the original Aluminum Tea Strainer. Corning Ware was first produced in 1957, it is made of a special material called Pyroceram, a crystalline ceramic that is made from glass.
This is the Cornflower pattern, it was the most popular pattern and longest pattern produced by Corning, introduced in 1957 and discontinued in 1988. This teapot is the large size, harder to find as it comes with the original aluminum tea stainer, it holds two quarts and has the black plastic lid.
It is 6 1/2" tall to the top of the handle, is in lovely condition, no chips, bottom and inside has some extremely faint use marks. It would be a wonderful addition to your set!
