Vintage Coorsite Coors China Pottery Individual Teapot in Rust or Brown. The H. F. Coors Pottery and was founded in Inglewood, Califorina in 1925 by Herman Coors, the third son of Adolph Coors of Coors Beer. Herman Coors had worked with his father and two brothers during the early years of the Herold China and Pottery Co and became manager of the plant in 1916. The H. F. Coors Pottery did not make chemical porcelain but produced many other items such wall tile, faucet handles, shower heads, plumbing fixtures, doll heads and commercial pottery for the hotel and institutional market. The most typical marks are H. F. Coors Inglewood Calif, Chefware, Coorsite and Alox. The company closed sometime in the 1980's.This teapot has an estimated age of the 1940's to 1950's. The teapot is the individual size and is a rusty brown color. It is 3 1/4" tall, 6" long and holds 1 cup. The bottom is embossed with Coorsite and the number 933.
