Vintage Old Colony, Open Lace, or Lace Edge Pink Depression Glss Candy Dish in Frosted Pink. This pattern was made by the Hocking Glass Company from 1935 to 1938. The official pattern name is Old Colony but it is also known as Open Lace or Lace Edge. It is one of the harder to patterns in pink depression glass and a few select pieces such as this one were made in a frosted pink instead of the clear pink.
This candy dish is about 5 1/2" tall and 7" across, it is a seldom seen piece and it is in good condition, no cracks, but does have several chips on the underneath side of the lace as well as a large flat chip on the inside of the lid, there is some very slight remains of the hand painted flowers on the lid, barely noticeable. It would be a beautiful addition to your collection or a wonderful decorative piece.
Please see our other listings for additional pieces in this pattern as well as other depression glass. Shipping is less for combined purchases then the above quoted individual cost per item combined and will be adjusted after your order is placed.
