Vintage CLEARFLOAT / EVANS Lighter
Unavailable
This Clearfloat/Evans lighter was made in 1955. Evans made the lighter mechanism, while Clearfloat made the base. If you hold this lighter upside down under a light, you will see where it says "Clearfloat". This means that Clearfloat intended to sale this lighter under their name. When you see a clear acrylic based lighter with an Evans lighter, then this was made by Clearfloat to be sold by Evans, without the Clearfloat name on the bottom. The instructions that came with this lighter from Clearfloat read "If the surface becomes dulled in time, its original lustre may be restored by Simonizing. It was designed to serve you a lifetime." This lighter is known as the "Sea Life" design. Condition is excellent. See photos. Have a look at my other items. Thank you for viewing.
