Vintage Cambridge Black Amethyst Glass Cup and Saucer. Black glass, which shows amethyst when held up to a light is called black amethyst, it was first produced in the mid 1920's and was extremely popular through the 1930's. This is a very sweet set, the saucer has a scalloped edge pattern with a ground bottom, the cup has four smooth ribs on the side. The saucer is 4" across and the cup is 2 1/4" tall and 2 3/8" across the mouth. Both pieces are in excellent condition, no chips. A beautiful addition to your collection!
