Vintage brass measuring tool. As they say at the auction: What the heck is it? This is some type of measuring devise; has 3 brass tubes which fit into each other; numbered sequentially: 1, 2, 3, and 3 tiny holes. Perhaps some type of dip stick for an antique car? It is quite solid, and there is oil on each tube when you pull them apart. Only a tool expert would know for sure :)
