Vintage Bemis Seamless Cotton Sack
Take home a piece of America’s past with this circa 1940, Vintage Bemis Seamless Cotton Sack from St. Louis, Missouri. Constructed out of cotton the sack has the Bemis A Extra Heavy Seamless printed on front with Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. 56. The Vintage Bemis Seamless Cotton Sack measures, 42.00 inches H X 18.50 inches W, and although originally intended to carry flour or seed, the distinctive sack would certainly look great hanging in the kitchen area, or even in a restaurant or bakery. The Bemis Company is still in existence today making fleixible packaging and pressure sensitive label materials, however it was established in 1858 as manufacturers of machine sewn cotton bags used for milled food and grain products.
