Vintage / antique pottery wall pocket, with hand painted scenic design in terra cotta, green, and charcoal on yellow-orange background. The wall pocket painting depicts a sea or lakeside cottage nestled among trees in a twilight or sunrise setting. The top rim of the wall pocket is gilded. The piece measures a little over 7 inches high, 4 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. On the back, it is stamped twice in green with "MADE IN JAPAN". Condition is very good to excellent, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The painting is intact. There is some water staining in the interior of the piece.
