Vintage / Antique Unmarked Mission Swirl Pottery Bowl

Unavailable
Small vintage / antique hand-crafted mission swirl pottery bowl, in red clay, with streaks of blue-gray and cream clay and what appear to be tiny bits of mica. This very interesting bowl measures about 1.75 inches high and 4.25 inches in diameter. It is easy to see the striations marking the clay coils and there is a slight dimple on the bottom where the coiling was begun. The bowl interior appears to be washed in red clay slip; the coil striations are visible but not the different clay colors. The maker of this piece is unknown; the bowl is reminiscent of Niloak, Rosemeade, Evans, and Dickota pieces. Age is also unknown although it appears to be quite old. It is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There is light surface wear and aging, and a few very small discolorations. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping and packaging will be $8.00.
