Vintage / Antique Silverplate Silent Butler

Vintage / antique silverplate footed silent butler, with engraved and copper-edged lion crest, four spoon feet, and a turned wood handle. The handle unscrews for ease of cleaning and polishing. The rectangular receptable, measuring approximately 5.5 inches by 7.625, has a rope design edge on the lid. The entire piece measures approximately 3.25 inches high, 7.625 inches wide, and 10 inches deep (including the handle). On the bottom is an engraved hallmark consisting of 3 squares with blunted corners. In the first square is a dragon, in the second square is a half-moon shaped C, and in the third is what appears to be a prehistoric bird. Under the hallmark is "3134A". On the underside of the hinge is an engraved "1". This elegant piece is in very good condition, with no dents or dings, and very light surface wear.
