This vintage Aerial Pioneers foil-etch print set was produced in the 1970's by Brown and Bigelow. The set contains four Mayo Olmstead etchings that feature "firsts" in aviation history. The four prints in chronological order are:
*The 1903 Wright Flyer, which was the first significant flight in history.
* The 1909 Bleriot, which made the first flight across the English Channel.
* The 1912 Avro Type F, which was the first airplane to have totally enclosed cockpit and a "skin" to reduce drag on the craft during flight.
*The 1913 Curtiss Flying Boat, which was the first successful seaplane.
This Mayo Olmstead "Aerial Pioneers" foil-etch print set is in brand new, never used, mint condition and is another one of the tens of thousands of vintage Brown and Bigelow prints we have in stock.
