I purchased this pottery bolo tie and/or pin from a booth at a craft fair in South Carolina in the mid 1980's. It is a hand painted pottery piece. On each side is a strand of wire with lumpy amethyst beads threaded through it. The back has the bolo clip and a pin clasp, so it can be used either way. The hardware is actually silvertone but the picture makes it look a little gold. The tie itself is braided black leather with 1" brass spiral tips. This piece is in great condition.
