The vinagrette made so long ago( 1826 ) by the noteable silversmith , John Lawrence and Co. is in fine condition. The hinges are all working , the gold wash interior in fine shape - and throughly marked . George / with pigtail facing right --L & Co, in a rectangular cartouche and the lion passant in the topp of the box . I n the interior there is the Birmingham anchor . Hard to photograph these marks because of the size of the box. The grid that holds the sponge in place is beautiful The actual size is 1" x 7/8" x 3/8" .-We welcome questions about this piece as well as the collection of vinaigrettes in stock at this time -
