Viet Nam War Era 1969 cannon ammunition wooden box, in very good condition. This hand-built box has AMMUNITION FOR CANNON WITH EXPLOSIVE PROJECTILES on the top. Printing on the front indicates "3 cartridges w/fuze pd for mortars", "LOADED 6 - 69", "81 MM", "M1 and M29", "COMP B", along with other information. Please refer to the 4 photographs for markings, appearance, and condition. On the bottom is GIDEON-ANDERSON LBR. CO., GIDEON, MD, 5 - 69, DWG. 9230176, REV. A. This box measures approximately 6.5 inches high, 26 inches wide, 14 inches deep, and weighs approximately 14 pounds. It is very solid and substantial.
