This compact is in the shape of a large pocket watch that measures 3" long ( included hinged bale). The top is mother of pearl? When you press the top bale, like you do on a pocketwatch, it unlatches. The mirror is in very good condition too. The strap appears to be original. Inside is an old powder puff, not sure if it original but it surely is old and it came that way when I got it. Lots of nice metal work and patina too.
