This decorative 4 piece medieval looking armor set consists of a breastplate, shield and 2 swords. These were originally decorative and definitely have some age. They appear to be from the mid to late Victorian period. The ornately cast iron breastplate measures 18.5" high, 16" wide and 8" deep. It is quite heavy and extremely well made. The stamped metal shield measures 21" in diameter and projects 4". The shield is richly detailed with raised scenes of fighting men with various weapons and horses. The pair of swords measures 44" tall and has ornately cast iron handles and hilts. One sword has an older very professional repair on one hilt. This is only visible upon very close inspection. The swords have steel blades. The pieces make a dramatic grouping on a wall.
