This walnut Victorian rocker has a unique form. Notice how the curved top crest extends down along the sides of the rocker. This style of chair or rocker is referred to as a sleepy hollow chair. The type of décor on the crest and arm supports is referred to as finger carved which was extremely popular during this time. We currently have a sofa and armchair which have the same carving design and fabric. The rocker’s frame is tight having no breaks or repairs. The finish is in excellent condition. The rocker is very comfortable. The tone on tone fabric is also in excellent condition.
