A lovely portrait tile in a warm caramel majolica glaze. This portrait shows the woman's face in a frontal position. Most portrait tiles are either in profile or 3/4 pose. It is molded in high relief with great attention to detail. The back is marked Maw & Co Benthall Works Brosely Salop.
The condition is very good, with wear only to the edges of the flowers in the woman's hair.
