19th century Victorian silver plated tea service. The angular outline of the handles is very Christopher Dresser in shape, but the engraved pattern of roses and leaves is pure Victoriana. Ivory finial to the teapot. No maker's names. Small teapot, measuring 13.5 cm high and 20 cm wide handle to spout (5.1/4 inches by 8 inches). Large sugar, 8.5 cm high by 16.5 cm wide (3.3/8 inches by 6.1/2 inches) and small creamer 7 cm high and 12.5 cm wide (2.3/4 inches by 5 inches). Condition: Creamer has some wear to plate inside at bottom, but on the plus side, you can still see the remains of the internal gilding. Sugar is very good - some remains also of the internal gilding. Teapot is also very good - it has an ivory finial and ceramic heat stops to the handle. Very attractive set.
