Victorian Memento mori Brooch Mourning flower

Unavailable

THis is one of two antique victorian momento brooches that I have for sale. These were found together when I purchased an antique jewelry casket ( which I have). I was pleasantly suprised to see that there were antique treasures in side. In the Victorian times, people would save a flower or a four leaf clover of a loved one and put it under glass like this. This looks like it was put on clear glass. It is silver soldered and the brooch back is also soldered. The last photo shows them both together ( you are getting the one on the left in the last photo). This measures a little over 1" x 7/8". To think that someone loved these enough to keep them all these years just makes my heart melt!
