VIctorian Locket garnets seed pearls etrsucan mixed metals rose and yellow gold RARE beauty antique necklace gold filled chain

I don't think I have seen a more ornate antique locket than this one. Using mixed metals of rose gold filled and yellow gold filled it is like a miniature piece of art. layers upon layers of detailing that are just magnificent. The locket has a rose gold center frame that is diamond etched and an ornamental piece that drapes over the lavish scroll work. A seed pearl rises up out of one oft he scroll works as if to represent a  flower. A single garnet resides under the larger etched half moon. This has its original parchment and sleeves inside to hold the photos. The locket is quite thick ( 1/2") and measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/8". The gilt on this is rich and deep. It hangs from a 20" gold filled chain that has triple links. The locket is in such fabulous condition less one small scratch on the back top. You won't find anything like this because if there any, collectors covet them. This would be such a wonderful heirloom to pass onto to your family because it already has well over 120 years of history.
