The ivory ribs of this Victorian fan are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and held together at the bottom with mother of pearl buttons and a goldtone metal loop. The fan material appears to be off-white silk on the back and black and white striped silk on the front with paper in between. As would be expected with a piece this old, there are some age marks and the silk is shattered in a few places but this piece still displays well.
