Check out this all original Victorian lamp that has never been converted to electric – amazing! You can easily fill with kerosene, light it and use it as it was originally intended 120 years ago. The original 10” hand painted ball shade has scenes on the front and back. The main scene depicts rose colored blooms among the lily pads encircling a scene of ducks flying and floating in a pond. The background is in shades of blue green. The lamp retains its original double wick burner which provides twice the amount of light. The oil is reservoir is intact and free of defects. Notice the highly decorative brass font. There are a couple of minor age splits in the brass, but this does not affect the lamp’s workings. Notice the lever on the pole below the font. This allows you to raise and lower the lamp from a height of 61” to 75”. The lamp shelf retains its original felt covering which is in excellent condition with a highly decorative brass frame. A smaller shelf is present below. The lamp rests on 3 spiral twist brass legs which are extremely sturdy. The brass frame is in excellent condition and so is the ball shade and glass chimney. If you prefer the lamp electrified, we can do so for a small additional charge.
