Victorian Flemish Art Geisha Glove Box

Unavailable
Antique Victorian Flemish Art glove box featuring a Geisha with fan and parasol amid a design utilizing peonies and other plant life, a Japanese landscape, and a stylized starburst pattern. Flemish Art received its name from a company that produced supplies for the popular Victorian hobby of woodburning or pyrographic arts. The design on this glove box appears to be pressed into the wood, producing a dimensional effect. Pyrography was used sparingly as an accent, and the box exterior and underside of the lid was varnished, resulting in a coppery hue. The box measures about 2 1/8 inches high, 10 1/4 inches wide, and 3 1/4 inches deep. It is in good to very good condition, with light to moderate surface wear. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Packaging and shipping will be $8.00.
