This is a magnificent antique pendant with one pear shaped rose cut diamond 1.70 Carats and showcased by 26 smaller rose cut diamonds. The rose cuts are set on foil. This is a special technique that was used to bring the lustre of the diamonds to its best quality. The precious genuine stones are set in 14 Carat yellow gold and silver. We are certain about the origin of this jewel because of the control mark representing an oak leaf. Made in Netherlands around 1860 in pure Victorian Era, this beauty is in excellent antique condition. The pendant weighs 3.80 grams and measures 27.2 mm (1.07 inch). It comes with its silver chain of 46.00 cm (18.11 inch). The center stone of the pendant is a nice and bright stone, it gives a nice effect. Normally by rose cut diamond it doesn't matter which colour it is, only the effect counts. But it's a good and bright colour, we would grade it to a H colour. It has a natural in the center of the stone which is almost not visible with the eye only with a loupe. If we look with a loupe we see a triangle in the stone, its called a natural. DIMENSIONS : Height pendant approx. 2.72 cm (1.07 inch), length chain approx.46.00 cm (18.11 inch). WEIGHT : 3.80 gram (2.44 dwt). Our Opinion: Most elegant and refined pendant. The pear shaped diamond brings a touch of Romanticism to this luxury jewel.
