Offered for sale is a lovely Victorian cream pitcher in the "Deer" pattern. Manufactured by John Meir & Son (1837 - 1889), this pitcher features brown transfer decoration with deer as the central motif on its handle and both sides. There is an underglaze brown transfer with the John Meir & Son logo on its base. In very good condition, with minor signs of wear on the base, and minor (to be expected) discoloration on the inside of the pitcher, this lovely "deer" pitcher measures 5 3/4" H x 3" W x 4.75" from the tip of its handle to the front of the pitcher body. (These measurements are approximate as it's very difficult to measure a round object.)
