Victorian Commode Chest of Drawers

Unavailable
This antique chest of drawers features its original marble top, four drawers plus hidden bottom drawer, lovely drawer fronts with carved floral and scrolling designs, and spiral twist corner columns. Originally had brass handle pulls. Appears to have been refinished many years ago. Believed to be made from walnut. Measures 43" wide by 37.5" high by 21.25" deep. Not known if the drawer locks work. No key. Veneer in good condition. There is a chip about 1/8" wide and 2" long along the bottom edge of the lowest (hidden) drawer. Chip to veneer and old burn mark on right side. Some drawers have had their runners replaced. Hand-made dovetails and overall design suggest this piece dates from the early to mid 19th century. Additional images forwarded upon request.
