Beautifully ornate inkwell with a hinged lid & removable ceramic cup to hold ink. Depicted in heavy relief flowers & a girl's head w/flowing hair. Top has a ring of court jesters in heavy relief & acorns. There is a piece of black felt glued to the bottom. The ink cup is incised with "Germany" & "5093". A truly remarkable piece.
