Vico Magistretti Mid-Century Red Gaudi Chair for Artemide

This is an original and rare, Guadi armchair by Vico Magistretti (1920-2006), produced by Artemide, circa 1968-1970. Measures 29.1 x 23.7 x 21.7 in (74 x 60 x 55 cm). Crafted from fiberglass-reinforced polyester with its original red finish and original black plastic feet. Condition is good. There are chips and scratches noticeable at the sides of the arms, legs and seatback, consistent with age. This is one of a handful of Magistretti designs which can be found in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. ( za- mid-century midcentury modern vintage )
