"Venus" pattern romantic Staffordshire plate, made by Podmore, Walker & Co. of England. Mark used from 1834-49, before the company was absorbed by Wedgwood. Medium blue transfer on white. Measures 10"d. Has crazing of the glaze and surface wear from 160+ years of use; minor edge imperfections, but no large chips or cracks. Sold as is. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
