Pair of early advertisement pieces from Valley Cigarette Service. Consists of a Desk Thermometer and Calendar from the year 1953. Never used. Back side has paper inserts to change the months of the year. Comes with it's original box. Measures 4 7/8 x 3". The other piece is what I'm calling a salesman's clipboard. Says Valley Cigarette Service Cigarette Vending Machines Phone CEdar 3-0790. Phone number is different from the other piece. I believe this company operated out Wheeling, WV as well as Bridgeport. It doesn't appear that the Board was used. Originally clipped to it was a brown piece of paper protecting it from getting scratched. Measures 3 x 5 1/2". I would place it in the same era as the other piece, perhaps maybe up to the the early 60's. Pair would make a nice addition to one's Cigarette advertising collection.
