SIMPLE YET BEAUTIFUL, a pair of authentic antique Dayak Kebayan statues from a Kalimantan Dayak family. Outdoor Guardians for Kebayan homes with one of the statues still visible from blue paint long time ago, whereas the other Guardian holds a paddy plunger(a symbol of good harvesting).
Each carved from a single Billion / Iron wood trunk. Kebayan statues are well noted for statues carved from sliced Billion wood trunks, statues are usually flat not roundish like the Kebahans. Some natural lines due to old age, never repaired. Stunning artifacts for serious collectors. Circa 1920.
