Reed & Barton silver teapot made for the United States Navy. Previous owner tells it is from the ship on which her father served in World War II.
Marked on bottom Reed & Barton/ Silver Soldered/ 3410 with flying bird maker's mark above. Also marked by the Navy, U.S.N. 842B all as seen in photo.
Measures 10 inches handle-to-spout. 5-1/2 diameter, 5-1/4 inch overall height.
Good overall used condition. Slightly flattened on one side as seen in photo. The top of the spout is also dented on one side. A few other tiny dings and some scratching from use. Nothing out of the ordinary for an item used at sea at time of war.
