This is a stunning pitcher by U.S. Glass. It is their 1880s pattern Post aka Square Panes. The shell like spout has a slight wave to the design giving it a moving feel. The etching is simple yet adds to the appeal. It is a 3 leaf elongated plant with a couple of diagonal lines bordering it. The smaller leaves have a 3 petal flower. The bottom has a ray appearance with a web pattern extending to the four corners. This is a rather rare find as it was much more difficult to remove from the mold with the bottom pattern. In the back corners is a simple 3 leaf pattern. There are several deep straw marks on the bottom exterior. There is one slightly rough spot near the back corner. It stands 9 tall by 8 1/2 wide.
