Here's an early small size brown glazed stoneware batter pitcher. This is a size one doesn't see very often. There is wear around the edge and a small itsy bitsy "bite" chip on the rim. It is incised around the body. One can see on the bottom finger prints where the pitcher was held when it was dipped into the "paint" before firing. There is a "pop" on one side. Look at all the pics for description. If you collect old country primitives, stoneware, "brownware", this is nice.
